Compliance for SB 1383

California's Senate Bill 1383 aims to reduce emissions of short-lived climate pollutants by decreasing organic waste disposal to 75% of 2014 levels by 2025. Organic waste in landfills releases 20% of the State's methane, which is 84 times more powerful as a climate pollutant than carbon dioxide.

By participating in organics recycling and other waste reduction programs commercial generators can help divert organic waste from landfills and reduce these harmful emissions. California commercial generators have been required to recycle organic waste since January 1, 2022. With financial penalties starting as early as 2024, Terra Pacific is here to assist you in meeting these requirements.
